“Entre Tierras” presents its second season at the Málaga Film Festival

The second season of Entre Tierras, a Boomerang TV production for Atresmedia, has been presented at the 29th edition of the Málaga Film Festival. Part of the show’s artistic and creative team attended the event to accompany this highly anticipated return, with new episodes set to premiere on March 15 on atresplayer.

Los protagonistas desfilaron por la alfombra roja entre aplausos, emoción y gran expectación ante la llegada de la nueva entrega de la serie, uno de los títulos más destacados de la televisión española reciente.

Al evento asistieron Megan Montaner, Rodolfo Sancho, Silvia Abascal, Itziar Miranda, Carlos Serrano-Clark, Germán Alcarazu y Marina Guerola, junto a Luis Santamaría, productor ejecutivo de la serie, y Humberto Miró, director de la ficción.

Megan Montaner vuelve a ponerse en la piel de María, protagonista de la historia. The first season of Entre Tierras became the most-watched series on television in 2024 and one of the most successful Spanish fiction titles internationally that year, consolidating the phenomenon of the production, which now returns with new episodes.

What Entre Tierras II is about

Two decades after losing Manuel, and raising two children on her own, María continues fighting to keep the Cervantes land afloat. In the new episodes of “Entre Tierras,” the protagonist must adapt to changing times while also standing as a symbol of resilience when transformation threatens to destroy everything.

The series explores themes such as family conflict, grief, class differences, rural transformation, and impossible yet inevitable love.

Main characters in Season 2:

Megan Montaner is María Fernández

Widow of Manuel Cervantes. Thanks to her courage, despite deeply missing her husband, she has managed to raise her children and protect the family estate with great effort and dedication. In this season, she must face several conflicts and misfortunes, as well as her deepest fears.

She will risk everything to save what she loves most in a healing journey that ultimately strengthens the roots of her land and her family.

Rodolfo Sancho is Juan Toscano

Foreman for Julio Varela and his trusted right-hand man. He has worked with him for years and has settled in Atienza with his wife and daughter, following his employer. He is an attractive, honest, and hardworking man. María immediately feels a strong attraction to him, which she tries to suppress once she discovers the heavy burden he carries and he does the same, repressing his passion due to tragic circumstances.

Silvia Abascal is Estrella

Toscano’s wife. Kind, noble, sensitive, and intuitive. She suffers from a serious illness. She is aware of the sacrifices and suffering of her husband and daughter, who devote themselves entirely to her care. She has a deep connection with María.

Ginés García Millán is Julio Varela

Agricultural businessman, widower, and father of two children. Ambitious and entrepreneurial, he takes advantage of landowners’ difficulties to buy their land and exploit it, investing in machinery to replace the shortage of laborers. He has no scruples or attachment to the land only a desire to grow, be the fastest, and the best. However, in his private family life, things are not the same. His wife died in an accident in which his eldest son, Miguel, was driving.

José Pastor is Bosco

Rebellious and troubled son of Julio Varela, detached from his father’s business and schemes. He lives directionless and in conflict, burdened by a secret that torments him and prevents him from standing up for himself. He appears to be one thing but is another, like his brother, though he hides a noble soul. In his journey of self-reconciliation, he confronts his wounds and decides to heal them away from everyone the only way to grow.

Itziar Miranda is Begoña

Resident of Atienza and lifelong farm worker. She is warm and bright, with a good nature. She works as one of the laborers on the Cervantes estate and is a close friend of María, whom she listens to and comforts. She becomes María’s main support, not only in work matters but also in her family concerns and fears.

Clara Garrido is Claudia Varea

A wild, rebellious farm worker, daughter of a single mother and once an enemy of the Cervantes family until she discovers she is the daughter of Don Ramón, the hated landowner. She inherits part of his estate thanks to María’s generosity. She remains single, enjoys her independence, and advises María to do the same, but when things become complicated, she considers selling everything and starting over. Unlike María, she is not deeply attached to the land, but she is deeply attached to her niece Manuela, whom she adores and protects.

German Alcarazu is Nicolás Cervantes

Son of Manuel and Llanos, a sickly and wild child whom María once protected, now returning from military service as a grown man. He has plans, but they do not involve Atienza. He wants to start businesses with new friends, but eventually agrees to stay on the estate. Arrogant and immature, he will make mistakes that put the estate at risk.

Marina Guerola is Manuela Cervantes

Daughter of Manuel and María. She never knew her father but carries the Cervantes blood strongly. She loves the countryside and horses. She has a strong personality and clashes with her mother and brother. She feels unseen and unheard, but finds support in her aunt Claudia, her godmother and confidante. In her journey, she will learn from her mistakes and the value of sacrifice.

Helena Ezquerro is Soledad

Daughter of Toscano and Estrella. She is insecure and shy. She is very talented at drawing but has given up on studying Fine Arts, focusing instead on caring for her mother rather than her own dreams.

She develops feelings for Bosco, although he offers her nothing, being consumed by his own turmoil. She will eventually heal her resentment thanks to her mother, who aware of her struggles paves the way for her to pursue her dreams.

Carlos Serrano-Clark is Miguel

Eldest son of Julio Varela. A responsible and intelligent university student and his father’s right-hand man. He feels indebted to him and operates in the shadows, willing to do his dirty work. However, no one not even his father knows his true schemes. When history repeats itself, it will be his father who exposes him. He is a wolf in sheep’s clothing, a dangerous psychopath.

Helena Kaittani is Teresa

Attractive, clever, and seductive Andalusian woman. She travels undercover, pretending to be Germán’s sister, and takes advantage of Nicolás’s interest in her for her own benefit. She has no scruples and is a natural survivor, always attached to a man she can exploit until he is ruined and in trouble. She is extremely dangerous if you fall into her trap.

Carlos Scholz is Germán

A hustler in love with Teresa, while she lets him believe she returns his feelings. They are constantly escaping from debts and troublemakers, pretending to be siblings and farm workers. When he notices the connection between Teresa and Nicolás, jealousy takes over, and he is willing to do anything to leave with her. In his journey, he realizes the ruin that loving her has brought upon him.
