The new show is open to anyone looking to find love, regardless of age, orientation, or previous experiences, and reflects the sexual and gender identity diversity of our society.

‘¿Algo que declarar?’ will test the compatibility and capacity for acceptance of all participants from the very beginning. Contestants will arrive with suitcases of different sizes, each concealing a deeply personal secret. The larger the suitcase, the more significant the secret.

Over several rounds, the secrets of the three suitors are revealed one by one through their suitcases. In the end, the main contestant chooses one suitor. Once the decision has been made, the main contestant’s own secret—hidden inside a large red suitcase—is revealed. If the chosen suitor accepts it, the couple wins the prize and sets off on a trip together to get to know each other better.

Produced by RTVE in collaboration with Boomerang TV, ‘¿Algo que declarar?’ is based on ‘Baggage’, a format licensed by NBCUniversal Formats, part of Universal International Studios, a division of Universal Studio Group. The format has international versions in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, China, Mexico, Denmark, and Vietnam.

The Host

Actor, comedian, and stand-up performer Pablo Chiapella returns to Televisión Española as the host of this new program. In 2018, he presented the first season of the travel and comedy show ‘El paisano’, touring small towns across Spain alongside their local residents.

He has enjoyed a long and varied career across other television networks, in film (‘La vida mancha’, ‘Perdona si te llamo amor’, ‘Viva la vida’) and theatre (‘El burlador de Sevilla’, ‘Nuestra cocina’). He is also a member of the well-known “Cuarteto de Albacete,” the comedy group he shares with Joaquín Reyes, Ernesto Sevilla, and Raúl Cimas.
