“Si lo hubiera sabido,” begins filming.

Megan Montaner, Miquel Fernández, and Michel Noher lead the cast of the new Netflix series created by Ece Yörenç with the support of Ay Yapim and adapted by Irma Correa.

Netflix has announced the start of filming for “Si lo hubiera sabido,” its new series created by Turkish screenwriter Ece Yörenç, author of series such as Fatmagül, Amor prohibido, Sühan: Venganza y amor, Kuzey Güney, and Medcezir, with the support of Ay Yapim.

Irma Correa (“Alba”) has been in charge of adapting this romantic story about second chances.

Megan Montaner (“30 monedas,” “La caza. Monteperdido”) plays Emma, a woman disillusioned with her present who, through a twist of fate, will be able to change her life and start over. Miquel Fernández (“Alba,” “El Nudo”) plays her husband Nando, and Michel Noher (“La unidad,” “100 días para enamorarse”) plays Rubén, whom Emma will meet in her new life. The cast also includes Jael Pascual (“45 revoluciones”), Eduardo Lloveras (“The One”), and Bore Buika (“Élite”), among others.

Produced by Boomerang for Netflix, the series will be directed by Liliana Bocanegra (“La reina del flow”) and Alejandro Bazzano (“La casa de papel,” “Inés del alma mía”), with filming taking place in natural locations across Seville, Madrid, and Paris.

Ece Yörenc, creator of the series, stated: “Many of my productions have been broadcast in Spain, but none have excited me as much as ‘Si lo hubiera sabido,’ as it is the first time one of my scripts comes to life as an original production in another country. It is an entertaining and emotional story about a woman who has felt trapped in her marriage for 10 years and is now trying to find herself.”

Irma Correa, showrunner of the series, added: “Who wouldn’t want to travel back in time, to have the chance to change what would turn our present into what we always dreamed of… ‘Si lo hubiera sabido’ is Emma’s journey toward herself, a series about dreams, hope, the meaning of life, family, friends, love… and inevitable destiny.”

About "Si lo hubiera sabido"

Emma is a 30-year-old woman disappointed with her ten-year marriage to Nando and her family life, and she feels that her life has lost its spark. Trapped in a routine without romance or excitement, she realizes that if she could go back in time, she would not have accepted Nando’s marriage proposal, and she decides she should divorce him.

A couple of days later, while heading to see a rare lunar eclipse with her friends, a time glitch sends her ten years into the past, back to 2008. Her 30-year-old mind is trapped inside her 20-year-old body. Life gives her a chance to reassess who she was and who she wants to become, with the clear advantage of already knowing what the next decade will bring.
