‘Rafaela y su loco mundo’ created by Aníbal Gómez and based on his own book “El alucinante mundo de Rafaella Mozarella,” was presented this Friday at the prestigious festival, where it unveiled its first images.
“Rafaela y su loco mundo,” the new original series from the platform, opens the doors to a universe where the absurd and the delirious take center stage. The series is created by Aníbal Gómez and based on his own book.
Gómez, together with Ernesto Sevilla, directs this comedy featuring a star-studded cast from Spanish comedy. Ingrid García-Jonsson plays Rafaela, the protagonist, alongside Carlos Areces, Aníbal Gómez, and Joaquín Reyes, who portray her three closest friends. Arturo Valls, Carmen Ruiz, Pepa Cortijo, Laura Weissmahr, and Luis Callejo complete the cast. The series also includes episodic roles and cameos from Esty Quesada, Victoria Martín, Javier Botet, and Hidrogenesse, among many others.
The show is a surreal and chaotic comedy that explores Rafaela’s unusual adolescence with delirious humor, alongside her friends Corpus, Chelo, and Debo, and her poodle. Together, they face situations that force them to mature, with a clear mission: to save the world before their adolescence ends and they are forced into adult life.

The script is by Aníbal Gómez, with Daniel del Casar as script analyst. Carmela Martínez Oliart leads production, Enrique Silguero is director of photography, Miguel Junquera and Bárbara Gil handle art direction, Diana García Moreno is costume designer, and Ángela Centeno heads makeup and hair.
About ‘Rafaela y su loco mundo’
Rafaela is a teenager in a highly functional family made up of her father, mother, grandmother, and herself. Her mother is a housewife who enjoys dressing up in costumes, her father is an inventor with a time machine, and her grandmother is… her grandmother. Along with her friends Corpus, Chelo, and Debo, and her poodle, they go through experiences that help them grow as a group, as individuals, and, in the case of the poodle, as a poodle.
Haunted mansions, sleepovers, and all kinds of challenges await as Rafaela navigates dangers in her mission to save the world before her adolescence ends and she must enter adult life.
