About ‘Perdiendo el juicio’
Amanda Torres is a prestigious lawyer who suffers a severe OCD outburst during an important trial. From that moment on, she becomes an outcast in her profession, and finding a new job becomes nearly impossible, partly due to the dark episode and partly because it’s difficult to live and work with her constant obsessions.
She is forced to accept a job offer at a decaying law firm far below her expectations, where she shares cases with a group of professionals who are down on their luck and are completely different from the stiff, high-class lawyers she was used to dealing with.
On the personal side, Amanda struggles with her lingering attraction to her husband, whom she resists divorcing, and with the feelings she begins to develop for her new boss. All this while preparing the defense of her sister, who is embroiled in a strange murder case that occurred on her wedding day, potentially leading her to spend the rest of her life in prison.
The Cast of ‘Perdiendo el juicio’
After the success of ‘Alba’
-
Elena Rivera as Amanda
Amanda was a brilliant lawyer who had a successful marriage-business partnership with César. However, her life derailed when she experienced a severe OCD outburst during a trial. Afterward, she retreated to a country house, but the arrest of her sister, accused of murder, forces her to step out of her solitude. -
Manu Baqueiro as Gabriel
The owner of the decaying law firm that hires Amanda. Despite his great talent as a lawyer, Gabriel doesn't fit the professional, uptight image of a lawyer. Amanda helps him believe in himself again, and they develop an unconventional complicity. -
Miquel Fernández as César
Amanda's still-husband, although this will change once he decides to sign the divorce papers. He is a successful, handsome, wealthy lawyer, and the complete opposite of Gabriel. Despite having a new, attractive partner and trying to avoid it, César still feels something for Amanda, and her return to the courts threatens to destroy the life he’s worked so hard to build. -
Lucía Caraballo as Barbie
An intern at Gabriel's firm. Coming from a humble background, she approaches cases from a different perspective. -
Daniel Ibáñez as Bosco
Another intern at the firm. Coming from a very different world than Barbie's, their attraction is inevitable. His father is a judicial legend, though Bosco has never used his father's status to advance his career. He fights to carve his own path. -
Dafne Fernández as Sara
The new partner at the law firm and César’s partner. She could be seen as Amanda’s replacement in every way: taking her job and her husband. Sara is egocentric and ambitious, representing the antagonist to Amanda. -
Carol Rovira as Daniela
Amanda’s sister and the main suspect in her husband’s murder on her wedding day. Daniela has a carefree nature and never imagined she would be involved in such a situation. All the evidence points to her guilt, and proving otherwise will not be easy. -
Alfonso Lara as Rafa
The most veteran lawyer at Gabriel's firm. From the old school, grumpy, and somewhat lazy, Rafa’s main goal is to retire. However, Amanda’s presence will make him reconsider his views and think that he might still have the energy to keep practicing for a while longer.
