The original comedy La suerte. Una serie de casualidades, a story about a unique friendship set against the backdrop of the world of bullfighting, starring Óscar Jaenada and Ricardo Gómez and directed by Paco Plaza and Pablo Guerrero, will premiere exclusively on Disney+ on October 8, with all six episodes available. The poster and trailer are now available.

The series will have its world premiere on September 24 at the 73rd San Sebastián International Film Festival, where it will be presented out of competition as part of the Official Section’s special screenings.

La suerte. Una serie de casualidades is a feel-good and eccentric comedy by directors Paco Plaza (Verónica, REC) and Pablo Guerrero (Alba, Entre tierras), starring Óscar Jaenada (Camarón, Cantinflas, Todos estamos invitados) and Ricardo Gómez (1898: Our Last Men in the Philippines, The Replacement, La ruta, Cuéntame cómo pasó).

The cast also includes Carlos Bernardino (Modelo 77), Óscar Higares (Entrevías), Pedro Bachura (Riot Police, Venus), Jason Fernández (Strange Way of Life), Óscar Reyes (Aída, La vida padre), Almudena Amor (The Grandmother, The Good Boss), Almudena Cid (El secreto de Puente Viejo), Diana Peñalver (Cristo Rey), Aria Bedmar (Sister Death), and Manuel Morón (The Wait, Crematorium), among others.

Paco Plaza and Pablo Guerrero created the story for this light and offbeat comedy, written by Diana Rojo and Borja González Santaolalla. Director of photography Pablo Rosso, a frequent collaborator of Plaza, gave each episode its own visual identity and was responsible for the image treatment of this road movie shot on 16 mm film. The series was filmed across Spain, covering 6,000 kilometers and more than 59 locations, including areas around several bullrings such as La Caprichosa (Talavera), Las Ventas (Madrid), La Misericordia (Zaragoza), and La Malagueta (Málaga), among others.

The original series, produced in collaboration with Boomerang TV, will premiere exclusively on Disney+ on October 8.
