Neox premieres the second season of "Love Island" España

On May 22, the dating show Love Island España returns with a second season, hosted by Cristina Pedroche. It will once again bring together a group of single islanders in an incredible villa, all ready to find love.

Love Island is produced by Boomerang TV. The Atresmedia program, based on the original format by ITV Studios and Motion Content Group, returns for its second season on Neox, the leading thematic channel among young audiences, airing five episodes per week. It will also be available on the group’s streaming platform Atresplayer Premium, which will include exclusive content and a weekly special program, as well as international distribution via Antena 3 Internacional and Atresplayer Premium Internacional.

After a first season in which Celia and Miguel were crowned winners, Love Island achieved strong results among young viewers, exceeding a 5% audience share in that demographic and becoming one of the most in-demand shows on Atresplayer Premium.

In the show, single contestants look for love while living together in isolation in a luxurious seaside villa. They face games, surprises, and challenges, and must always remain coupled up to avoid elimination.

Viewers enjoy near real-time broadcasting, as everything that happens in the villa is shown the following day on Neox and Atresplayer Premium. The audience also has voting power through the official Love Island app, influencing eliminations and ultimately the cash prize contestants compete for.

This season introduces new features such as the arrival of new singles, multiple dates with different candidates, and individual eliminations instead of only couple-based ones. There will also be blind dates so contestants are not guided solely by appearance.

The most important new feature is the “red button,” available from day one until the end of the season. If an islander finds living with someone unbearable or wants to eliminate a romantic rival, they can press the button to trigger an eviction process—but they will also put themselves at risk, and the audience will decide who stays and who leaves.
