“Motivos personales” will be available on Netflix starting March 15. The streaming service will add this iconic series to its catalogue, one of the first fiction productions created by Boomerang TV in 2005 for Telecinco.
“Motivos personales” achieved strong audience success (the first season finale reached a 36% share with more than 6 million viewers) and received numerous awards, becoming a cult series. Featuring a strong cast led by Lydia Bosch, Marta Calvó, Pedro Casablanc, Concha Velasco, Fernando Guillén, Ginés García Millán, and Belén López, among others, the series also introduced young talents such as Miguel Ángel Silvestre and Álex González, who were beginning their acting careers.
The acclaimed series, created by Javier Holgado and Carlos Vila, featured in its two seasons a strong technical team led by Goyo Quintana, with Jorge Redondo as executive producer and Salvador Calvo as director.
The plot begins with a suspected murder. During the 50th anniversary celebration of the Acosta Laboratories, Mara, the company president’s secretary, is found dead. The main suspect is Arturo Acosta (Pedro Muñoz), husband of journalist Natalia Nadal (Lydia Bosch), who begins investigating the case alongside lawyer Virginia Palazón (Marta Calvó) to clear her husband’s name.
Currently, “Motivos personales” can also be watched in full on Telecinco’s streaming platform Mitele.
