The new installment of the series returns bringing together the entire Castillo family to face a new threat.
Luis Fernández, Ana Fernández, Antonio Garrido, Mario Marzo, Daniel Avilés, Maggie García, Cosette Silguero, Gracia Olayo, Javier Mendo, Marta Torné, Emilio Buale, Raúl Mérida, José Sospedra, and Carlotta Cosials reprise their roles. Elena Furiase joins the cast, along with Joan Solé, Raúl Sanz, Alba Ribas, Pablo Grifé, and José Luis Alcobendas.
This installment also features a special appearance by Angie Cepeda, reprising her role as Jimena, one of the original key characters from the Antena 3 series, reuniting the full core group.

Atresplayer premieres this Sunday, December 14, the original series “Los Protegidos: Un nuevo poder,” the title of the five new episodes of “Los Protegidos.”

The cast is completed by Gracia Olayo, Javier Mendo, Marta Torné, Emilio Buale, Raúl Mérida, José Sospedra, and Carlotta Cosials, who continue in this new season, along with Angie Cepeda, who returns to the series universe to reprise her original role as Jimena.
This season also features a special collaboration from Angie Cepeda, returning to the fiction to once again play Jimena, a key character from the early seasons. She acted as a “mother figure” to the Castillos and had a close relationship with Mario before leaving after her daughter Blanca’s premonition.
In addition, Elena Furiase joins the cast as the police officer leading the investigation surrounding the Castillos. She is joined by Joan Solé, Pablo Grifé, Alba Ribas, Raúl Sanz, and José Luis Alcobendas.
In the third season of “Los Protegidos: Un nuevo poder,” an unusual enemy threatens the stability of the Castillo family. Max, a young man with an unprecedented power, uses an enchanted doll to spread chaos across the city, while the protagonists face personal and family challenges that test their unity and bond.

Montse García, Lucía Alonso-Allende, Diego del Pozo, Carlos García Miranda, Tomás Silberman, Laura Abril, and Tedy Villalba serve as executive producers. García Miranda leads the writing team, which includes Sancho Sánchez and Arturo Ruiz Serrano. The series is directed by Oriol Ferrer and Roberto Montalbo.

‘Los Protegidos’, a landmark in science fiction series
Aired from 2010 to 2012 on Antena 3, the series averaged over 3 million viewers and launched the careers of several young actors.
The story began with a group posing as a family, the Castillos, in order to hide from a mysterious organization known as the Elephant Clan. The reason: the supernatural powers of many of its members.
Living in disguise as a real family, they eventually became emotionally bonded as one. However, over time, each went their separate way.
In “Los Protegidos: El regreso,” their lives intertwined once again. In “Los Protegidos: A.D.N.,” Sandra and Culebra’s wedding reunites the family. The Castillos join the secret ADN academy to control their powers while facing new threats, even combining abilities to defeat them.
