Lola Índigo, Melendi, Rosario, and David Bisbal will be the coaches of the next edition of “La Voz Kids”

“La Voz Kids” is about to close the doors of its current season, but the talent show produced by Boomerang TV for Antena 3 will return with a new edition for which its coaches are already confirmed: Lola Índigo, Melendi, Rosario, and David Bisbal will be the coaches of the next season of the program.

Lola Índigo will debut as a coach in the format, after previously taking part as an advisor. Melendi returns to the show where he achieved great success. David Bisbal and Rosario continue for another season, once again aiming to build the strongest teams of young voices.

“La Voz Kids” has consolidated its success on Antena 3, and its current ITV Studios format season, whose grand final airs this Saturday, has once again been the absolute leader of the night, outperforming all other weekend offerings.

Lola Índigo

The Lola Índigo project has been one of the most pleasant musical surprises of recent years: she has burst onto the music scene with a series of songs that have broken all records.

Her first album, ‘Akelarre’, reached No. 1 in physical, digital, and streaming sales. It included hits such as ‘Mujer bruja’ and her first major success ‘Ya no quiero ná’, among others.

‘La Niña’, her second album, also reached No. 1 in sales and earned Gold and Platinum certifications, including ‘La Niña de la escuela’, her track with Tini and Belinda, which has already reached 145 million streams on Spotify.

Lola Índigo is one of the few artists who can boast more than 15 official certifications for her songs.

‘El Dragón’ is the name of her third and latest album, in which she once again shows that there are no limits to her creativity. Within this album, one standout single has achieved huge success: ‘El Tonto’, in collaboration with Quevedo, whose music video exceeded all expectations, reaching No. 1 in trending charts in Spain and becoming a trend in countries such as Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Colombia, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Mexico, Guatemala, Paraguay, and Costa Rica.

‘El Dragón’ once again reached No. 1 on the official Spanish sales chart and also No. 1 in songs. It also entered directly at No. 1 on Spotify Spain and No. 121 on Spotify Global with ‘El Tonto’ ft. Quevedo on its debut day. ‘El Dragón’ quickly became the most streamed album on Apple Music Spain, reaching No. 1.

In addition, the singer has accumulated awards both in Spain and Latin America: MTV EMA Winner for ‘Best Spanish Act 2019’, Premios Musa International Collaboration, Odeón Award for Urban Odeón Artist, Los40 Music Awards for Breakthrough Artist of the Year, Best Music Video, and Best Live Performance, among others.

What began as a Spain-based project has grown exponentially internationally, and Lola Índigo has established herself as one of the most powerful and relevant female figures in Spanish-language music. Her music is now widely listened to in countries such as Mexico, the United States, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Paraguay, and Guatemala. Proof of this is her LATAM Tour success, her first in America, where she achieved a sold-out show at the Teatro Vorterix in Buenos Aires, as well as her massive tour in Spain, which began on May 6 with another sold-out concert at the WiZink Center in Madrid.

Melendi

Melendi is one of the most prominent Spanish-language singer-songwriters of the moment, both within and beyond our borders. His hits, sung by several generations at his always massive concerts, boast staggering figures: billions of streams on digital platforms, platinum and gold records in numerous countries, and multiple awards and recognitions.

Now, marking 20 years since the release of his first album, Melendi is experiencing one of the best moments of his professional career. After completing his American tour, where he achieved great success by selling out almost every date, Melendi returns to Spain with a new tour. He also returns to television in a format that has given him so much satisfaction, where we will once again enjoy the most committed, inspiring, and spontaneous version of Melendi.

Rosario

On November 4, 1963, “La Faraona”, as the great Lola Flores was then known, took a short break from her meteoric and successful artistic career to bring her third child into the world, the result of her marriage to Antonio González, better known as “El Pescaílla”. The child was named Rosario.

Rosario had her first contact with the entertainment world at the age of five, when she appeared as an actress in several films and television series. Later, already in her teenage years, she starred in films such as “Calé”, Federico García Lorca’s great work “Mariana Pineda”, and the film “Colegas” by Eloy de la Iglesia, alongside her brother Antonio.

But Rosario carries music and dance in her blood, and in 1984 she made her first foray into the music world with the mini LP ‘Vuela de noche’. Later, in 1992, she recorded what is considered her first official album, ‘De Ley’, mostly composed by her brother Antonio, achieving great success thanks to songs such as ‘Mi gato’ and ‘Sabor, sabor’, titles that are now part of Spain’s collective memory. In 1994 she repeated critical and commercial success with ‘Siento’, again mostly composed by her brother Antonio and produced by Fernando Illán.

In 1996, her third album ‘Mucho por vivir’ was released, a clear tribute to her brother’s memory, highlighted by the single “Qué bonito”, written and composed by Rosario herself, which became her personal breakthrough hit. More than 400,000 copies of this album were sold in Spain.

After the success of her first three albums, reaching nearly one million copies sold in Spain, Rosario decided to fully explore rock music without losing her Gypsy roots, and in 1999 ‘Jugar a la locura’ was released. This was a bold album in which Rosario composed ten of the eleven songs and was nominated for a Latin Grammy for the first time.

In 2001, ‘Muchas Flores’ was released, perhaps the most rumba-influenced album and the one that best defines her identity to date, where the artist returns to her purest Gypsy roots, covering two songs popularized by her mother alongside El Pescaílla, ‘La Casa en el aire’ and ‘Meneíto’. It is a tribute to Catalan rumba and to her father in the opening track ‘Al son del tambor’.

Then came ‘De mil colores’, featuring songs mostly composed by Rosario. In this album, rumba and bossa nova, flamenco guitar and Cuban tres, funk and ballads are masterfully fused. Once again, she was awarded a Latin Grammy for Best Female Pop Album.

In 2006, she released her eighth album ‘Contigo me voy’, one of her most mature and coherent works. Two years later, she released her ninth album ‘Parte de mí’, a covers album that takes listeners through her musical universe, the soundtrack of her life and a tribute to the songs that have touched her soul. The album achieved great commercial and critical success, reaching Platinum status in Spain and staying among the best-selling albums. With it, she was again nominated for a Latin Grammy for Best Female Pop Vocal Album of the Year 2008, and received multiple awards including an Ondas Award, Cadena Dial Award, and Micrófono de Oro.

In November 2009, a new covers project titled “Cuéntame” was released, featuring major songs from the 70s and 80s, part of the soundtrack of the TVE series ‘Cuéntame cómo pasó’. In 2010 she was nominated again for a Latin Grammy.

In 2010, Rosario traveled to Los Angeles to shape eleven songs she had composed over the previous three years, resulting in ‘Raskatriski’, named after a Catalan rumba from her childhood. The album explores her “Gypsy Funky” sound, blending rumba, funk, soul, bossa nova, and ballads.

In 2013, she returned with a self-titled album ‘Rosario’, showing her musical evolution and mestizaje. The single ‘Yo Me Niego’ was highly praised. The album was nominated for the Grammys in the Best Contemporary Pop Album category, and she toured Spain and Latin America.

In November 2016, she released ‘Gloria a ti’, a return to flamenco influences and a tribute to her family, even featuring her brother’s voice in a duet and her mother’s dress on the cover.

2017 was an active touring year across Mexico, Costa Rica, the United States, and Spain. She later released a live album ‘Noche de Gloria en el Teatro Real’.

In 2021, she released ‘Te lo digo todo y no te digo na’, which she described as a fresh, energetic, and mature evolution of her sound, designed to be enjoyed live. In 2022, she returned to the stage with the tour of the same name, performing across Spain and the world.
