A fiction series titled "La Suerte. Una serie de casualidades" and produced by Boomerang TV for Disney+, was awarded the FICAL Prize for Best Comedy Series during the closing gala of the Almería International Film Festival (FICAL), held on November 22.
The series, which premiered on the platform on October 8, competed in two categories: Best Comedy Series and Best Showrunners or Series Creators. Ultimately, La Suerte won the award for Best Comedy Series, a recognition that highlights its freshness, narrative style, and strong audience reception since its release.
FICAL, established as one of the most prominent audiovisual festivals in Spain, annually honors the best in film, television productions, and new digital formats. Its closing gala brings together industry professionals, creators, and performers to celebrate talent and creativity in the audiovisual sector.
Members of the creative team attended the ceremony, including creators Pablo Guerrero, Paco Plaza, Diana Rojo, and Borja González. Cast members also present included Óscar Higares, Almudena Cid, Carlos Bernardino, Almudena Amor, and Pedro Bachura, along with producers Laura Jaraiz and María Sauras.
All representatives of La Suerte took the stage to collect the award, celebrating a recognition that highlights both teamwork and the series’ growing success.
