The “Pasapalabra” program reaches a new record as its jackpot rises to €2,194,000, reaching an unprecedented figure in the entire history of the show. The previous record dates back to May 8, 2006, when the prize reached €2,190,000. That day, Eduardo Benito completed “El Rosco” and won an amount that had not been reached again until now.
Rafa and Orestes are key witnesses and potential protagonists of this upcoming milestone in the show’s history. Rafa became the star of Monday’s episode and, thanks to a run of ten consecutive correct letters, reached 24 correct answers in the Rosco, creating maximum tension in the studio. The jackpot has set a new record at €2,194,000, the highest amount ever accumulated in the program.
Since its premiere, the show has awarded the jackpot many times, but only on nine occasions has the prize exceeded one million euros.
“Pasapalabra” is an ITV Studios format. The Antena 3 show, produced by ITV together with Boomerang TV, airs Monday to Friday at 8 p.m. with strong audience ratings.
