“Entre Tierras II" premieres on Sunday, March 15 on Atresplayer

The Atresmedia original series, which dominated with its first season during its run on Antena 3—becoming the most-watched TV series of 2024—and went on to rank among the most successful Spanish series internationally that year, will continue its story on Atresplayer on March 15, and later in Antena 3’s prime time.

Megan Montaner returns as María, the show’s protagonist. This season’s main cast also includes Silvia Abascal, Rodolfo Sancho, Ginés García Millán, José Pastor, Itziar Miranda, Clara Garrido, Germán Alcarazu, Marina Guerola, Helena Ezquerro, and Carlos Serrano-Clark, among others.

Two decades after losing Manuel, and now raising two children, María continues to fight to keep the Cervantes family land alive. In the new episodes of “Entre Tierras,” she must adapt to changing times while standing as a symbol of resilience when those changes threaten to destroy everything. The series explores themes such as family conflict, the pain of loss, class differences, the transformation of rural life, and an impossible love, yet inevitable.

Produced by Boomerang TV for Atresmedia, the second season of “Entre Tierras” will consist of 10 episodes, each running approximately 50 minutes. Filming took place in locations across Almería, Castilla-La Mancha, and the Community of Madrid.

Montse García and Luis Santamaría serve as executive producers, with direction by Humberto Miró, Salvador García Ruiz, and David Montoya.

Lucía Alonso-Allende and Humberto Miró are co-executive producers. The writing team includes Susana López Rubio, Juan Beiro, and Joaquín Santamaría, with Raquel Busca as script analyst. Diego Polo is the production director, Antonio González leads cinematography, Paco Redondo is the art director, Eva Martínez and Raquel Martínez are in charge of makeup, and Gualter Da Sá oversees costume design.

This is the second season of "Entre Tierras"

Nearly two decades have passed since María lost Manuel and was left alone to care for Nicolás and Manuela, the newborn daughter her husband never met. Over the years, she has managed to keep the Cervantes land afloat thanks to her determination and the help of Claudia, the rebellious farmworker and illegitimate daughter of Don Ramón.

María will face new losses and must continue fighting to prevent the land from being lost above all, to ensure her children remain rooted and connected to their family and heritage.

Times are changing: rural workers are migrating, and the shortage of laborers leads to the arrival of seasonal workers from poorer regions, as well as ambitious entrepreneurs eager to exploit the land without attachment—investing more in machinery than in people. For the first time in a long while, María finds herself drawn to someone, but the memory of Manuel weighs heavily on her doubts; she will do everything possible to avoid the inevitable.
