Atresmedia Internacional premieres El secreto de Puente Viejo, the iconic Boomerang TV production that became the longest-running series in Spanish television history after nine years on air and more than 2,300 episodes.

Starting January 18, the stories of Puente Viejo will air Monday to Friday on Atreseries Internacional, Atresmedia’s international channel for series. The intrigues surrounding the wealthy Montenegro family, led by its ruthless matriarch Doña Francisca (María Bouzas), and their relationships with the villagers of Puente Viejo, blending love and revenge, will captivate Atreseries viewers.

During its nearly 10-year run on Antena 3, El secreto de Puente Viejo marked a turning point in the Spanish audiovisual industry and earned both critical and audience acclaim. It also became a major social phenomenon in Italy and was broadcast in more than 60 territories.

The series is a benchmark in daily television dramas and has been an important driver for the Spanish audiovisual industry, as well as a training ground for both technical and artistic talent. Produced by Boomerang TV, the fiction stands out for featuring 767 actors, between main and supporting roles, and more than 23,800 extras. It has also received several national and international awards, including the Iris Special Jury Award from the Spanish Television Academy in 2016.

El secreto de Puente Viejo introduced numerous actors and actresses who have gone on to become major stars, including María Bouzas, Álvaro Morte (La Casa de Papel), Megan Montaner (Gran Hotel, Sin Identidad, 30 Monedas), Jaime Lorente (La Casa de Papel, Tiempos de Guerra), Álex Gadea (Los Protegidos, Toy Boy), Alejandra Onieva (Presunto Culpable), Jordi Coll (El Incidente), Adriana Torrebejano (Física o Química, Cuerpo de Élite, Amar es para siempre), Carlos Serrano (Presunto Culpable, El tiempo entre costuras), Sandra Cervera (Paquita Salas), and Loreto Mauleón (Patria), among many others.
