The contestant from Seville won the biggest jackpot in the history of “Pasapalabra”

After competing on the Antena 3 show—produced by ITV Studios and Boomerang TV—for 197 episodes, Rafa Castaño won the biggest jackpot in the history of “Pasapalabra.”

The contestant from Seville reached “El Rosco” with another historic time score of 179 seconds, the third-best record achieved by a contestant. The show, hosted by Roberto Leal, broke all records yesterday by awarding the largest jackpot in its history, and the winner completed the Rosco round in one go.

The duel between Orestes and Rafa has been one of the great milestones in Spanish television game shows. Orestes Barbero, who remained on the program for 359 episodes, faced Rafa in 197 occasions. The decisive face-off was broadcast in prime time, generating huge anticipation and making it a truly memorable night for the show.

The program’s audience ratings were also historic, becoming the most-watched season in the history of “Pasapalabra,” with an average of 4,578,000 viewers and a 37.4% share.
