• The two semifinals and the Grand Final, in which Spain's representative for Eurovision will be chosen, will be broadcast live on La1 and RTVE Play.
The fourth edition of the Benidorm Fest kicks off on January 28. RTVE is once again entrusting Boomerang TV with the production of the contest that will select Spain’s entry for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place in the Swiss city of Basel in May. This year’s hosts for the Benidorm Fest will be Paula Vázquez, Ruth Lorenzo, and Inés Hernand.
What is the Benidorm Fest?
The first semifinal of Benidorm Fest 2025, taking place on Tuesday, January 28, will feature performances by Chica Sobresalto, Daniela Blasco, David Afonso, K!ngdom, Kuve, Lachispa, Lucas Bun, and Sonia y Selena. These eight artists will compete for the first four spots in Saturday's Grand Final. “Mala feminista,” “Uh nana,” “Amor barato,” “Me gustas tú,” “Loca por ti,” “Hartita de llorar,” “Te escribo en el cielo,” and “Reinas” will be the first songs to be performed on the iconic triangular stage of the contest’s fourth edition, promising intense emotions from the start.
Two days later, on Thursday, January 30, Carla Frigo, Celine Van Heel, DeTeresa, Henry Semler, J Kbello, Mawot, Mel Ömana, and Melody will take the stage for the second semifinal. This gala will determine the final four contestants who will complete the lineup for Saturday’s Grand Final. The songs “Bésame,” “La Casa,” “La pena,” “No lo ves,” “VIP,” “Raggio di sole,” “I’m a queen,” and “Esa Diva” will compete for one of the coveted tickets to the final.
From each gala, the four songs with the most votes will move on to the Grand Final on Saturday, February 1, where the eight finalists will compete for the Bronze Microphone and the honor of representing Spain at the 69th Eurovision Song Contest.
How to Vote in Benidorm Fest
There’s big news this year: voting in Benidorm Fest 2025 will be free. For the first time, viewers will be able to vote completely free of charge for their favorite song. This change has been one of the audience’s most requested features since the festival began in 2022.
In addition to SMS voting, which will still be available, you can also vote via the RTVE Play app. In both the first and second semifinals, viewers will be able to vote for the song they want to see advance to the Grand Final on Saturday, February 1. Each viewer will be able to vote only once per show. In the final, once the eight finalists have been selected, you can vote again for your winning song—or, in other words, the one you want to represent Spain at Eurovision 2025.
