"Entre Tierras", an original Atresmedia series, has completed filming for its second season. The show, which was a major hit with its first installment on Antena 3, becoming the most-watched series on television in 2024, and one of the most successful Spanish series internationally last year, will soon continue its story in the network’s prime time slot and will also be available on Atresplayer.

Megan Montaner returns as María, the show’s lead character. This season’s main cast also includes Silvia Abascal, Rodolfo Sancho, Ginés García Millán, José Pastor, Itziar Miranda, Clara Garrido, Germán Alcarazu, Marina Guerola, Helena Ezquerro, and Carlos Serrano-Clark, among others.

Two decades after losing Manuel, and with two children to raise, María continues fighting to keep the Cervantes land going. In the new episodes of "Entre Tierras", the protagonist must adapt to changing times while standing as a symbol of resilience when those changes threaten to destroy everything. The series will explore themes such as family conflict, the pain of loss, class differences, the transformation of rural life, and an impossible, yet inevitable, love.

Produced by Atresmedia in collaboration with Boomerang TV, the second season of "Entre Tierras" will consist of 10 episodes, each 50 minutes long. Filming took place in locations across Almería, Castilla-La Mancha, and the Community of Madrid.

Montse García and Luis Santamaría serve as executive producers, with Humberto Miró, Salvador García Ruiz, and David Montoya directing the series.

Lucía Alonso-Allende and Humberto Miró are co-executive producers. The writing team includes Susana López Rubio, Juan Beiro, and Joaquín Santamaría, with Raquel Busca as script analyst. Diego Polo is the production director, Antonio González leads cinematography, Paco Redondo is the art director, Eva Martínez and Raquel Martínez are responsible for makeup, and Gualter Da Sá oversees costume design.

What to expect in season two of "Entre Tierras"

Nearly two decades have passed since María lost Manuel and was left alone to care for Nicolás and Manuela, the daughter her husband never met. Over the years, she has managed to sustain the Cervantes land thanks to her determination and the help of Claudia, a rebellious farmworker and the illegitimate daughter of Don Ramón.

María will face new losses and must continue fighting to prevent the land from being lost—above all, to ensure her children remain connected to their roots, their family, and their heritage.

Times are changing: rural workers are migrating, labor shortages are bringing in workers from poorer regions, and ambitious entrepreneurs are arriving—more interested in machinery than people. For the first time in years, María begins to notice someone new, but memories of Manuel weigh heavily on her doubts as she tries to resist the inevitable.
