First images have been released from the filming of Flores para Antonio, an original documentary film from Movistar Plus+, led by Alba Flores and directed by Elena Molina and Isaki Lacuesta.

Flores para Antonio, which has completed shooting, traces the life and work of musician and composer Antonio Flores through the eyes of his daughter, actress Alba Flores (Locked Up, Money Heist).

The documentary is an original Movistar Plus+ production by Flower Power Producciones, LACOproductora, Caballo Films, Boomerang TV, Flores para Antonio la película AIE, with funding from ICAA and the Community of Madrid.

Statements from the Creators

Alba Flores:
"This shoot has been truly exceptional from beginning to end. Every person involved in this film gave themselves to it with a level of dedication and love I’ve never seen before in an audiovisual project. I feel deeply grateful to each of them, and also to my father—not only for his artistic and familial legacy, but because his spirit has inspired us in empathy, friendship, and the celebration of life."

Isaki Lacuesta:
"Filming Flores para Antonio has been an emotionally intense journey—there wasn’t a single day when the crew didn’t end up both laughing and crying. The same happened in front of the camera. The shoot was cathartic for everyone involved. This tribute to Antonio, initiated by his daughter Alba, allowed the Flores family to share intimate conversations they had never had before. Usually, when we wrap a shoot, we’re too close to the material to know what we’ve really done or how it’ll be received. But for the first time, with Flores para Antonio, I’m sure the audience will be as moved as we were watching a daughter ask questions, connect the dots, and discover who her father truly was. This film is Alba’s love letter to Antonio, and filming it has been not only touching but also a life lesson."

Elena Molina:
"Accompanying Alba on this journey has been a unique experience—not just a chance to get closer to and rediscover Antonio, but also a creative and personal process that has surpassed all expectations. As the film comes to life, it transforms into a collective catharsis where, surrounded by his loved ones, Antonio’s songs and legacy move between the deeply personal and the public to celebrate and reconnect with what is most essential and universal: how only through love can emptiness be healed."
