This is the children's version of the hit international format “The Voice”, also created by Talpa, and hosted by Eva González and Juanra Bonet.

The contestants start by participating in the "Blind Auditions," the format's identifying stage in which the coaches begin to choose their teams by assessing aspirants based exclusively on their voices. Of the young singers who get up on the contests' stage, only 54 will acheive their objective of joining one of the three teams of 18 singers chosen by each coach. During this stage, the coaches compete against each other to "sign on" the best artists. To do so, they have to press the red button if an aspirant's voice has captivated them. If several coaches press the button, the young artist will get to decide which team to join. But, if none of the coahces presses it, the aspirant won't be able to continue in the contest.

Once the teams have been chosen, the show's coaches lead their teams in "The Battles," the second stage of the contest, during which three other relevant artists will act as advisors for the coaches. During this stage, the coaches help their young singer's develop and evolve, as contestants perform in groups of three in each "round," each singing the same song, so that each of the three team will propose six musical trios. With help from their advisors, the coaches will have to analyze the performances and decide which of the young artists in each trio should stay in the contests, so that six artists from each team will continue on “The Voice Kids”.

After this selection, each coach, in collaboration with his or her advisor, must picke two singers from their team to go directly to the final gala. The three remaining artists on each team get back on stage and star in "The Final Round": only one singer from each team will land the last spot in the final gala.
The three best artists from each team will star in the grand finale of “The Voice Kids”, in which nine finalists will do their best to win a music scholarship and the chance, if the young artist so desires, to record a single with Universal Music.

Following the performances, the coaches are faced with their most difficult decision: deciding which of their three finalists will opt for the victory in the last stretch of the final gala. The live studio audience will vote to determine the winner. In the upcoming season of the show, the team of coaches is made up of artists David Bisbal, Rosario Flores, Melendi y Vanesa Martín.
