DESCRIPTION

synopsis

“The Avatars” offers a modern and positive vision of how young people can use new technologies to acheive their objectives. Using the Internet and technology, the protagonists fight to attain a common dream for many youngsters: becoming rock stars. Despite their talent and status as emerging artists, because they're keeping their identity a secret, the boys have to continue their daily lives in high school. Although their efforst have not won them personal fame or glory, the boys put all their passion into the group and manage to make it in the highly competitive music industry thanks to their anonymous avatars.

Three teenage boys, united by their love of music, dream of becoming world-famous rock stars. Unfortunately, the boys are repeatedly rejected by record companies, because they think they're still too young. Everything changes when J.P's sister, Lou comes up with the idea of creating a virtual group: The Avatars. Thanks to the Internet and the kids' talent, the group quickly becomes popular; but, the boys cannot reveal their true identity and are forced to lead a double life.

"The Avatars" had its world premiere on Disney Italy, and has sold to Chello Central Europe for the territories of Hungary, Romania, Moldavia, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The series will also air soon on Rai Gulp Italia, and deals with other key territories are currently underway.
