DESCRIPTION

synopsis

Boomerang TV, TVE and Chilevisión co-produce this ambitious series that brings to television 'Inés del alma mía', the successful novel by Isabel Allende that has been translated into more than 30 languages. The series tells, over eight exciting episodes, the story of Inés Suárez (Elena Rivera).

The young and daring Extremaduran embarks for the New World in search of her husband Juan de Málaga (Carlos Serrano), lost on the other side of the Atlantic. In the Indies he will discover the true love of his life, the Spanish conquistador Pedro de Valdivia (Eduardo Noriega).

Inés, along with her beloved Pedro de Valdivia, will travel to the distant and unknown Chile. There he will face the indomitable Mapuche people, the greed of the conquerors and their insatiable thirst for gold and riches.

His life journey will transport the viewer through time and space from the historic Plasencia of the sixteenth century, to the colorful viceregal Peru of Pizarro (Francesc Orella), through the wild jungles of Panama and the desolate beauty of the Atacama Desert in Chile.

This ambitious international co-production, which began filming in September 2019 in natural settings in Spain, Chile and Peru, has premiered on Amazon Prime Video Spain and, subsequently, will do so in open on TVE and Chilevisión.
