“The Voice Senior” Arrives in Spain for the First Time Hand-In-Hand with Antena 3
Antena 3 will air “The Voice Senior” as eight shorter gala performances so viewers can see the whole show during prime time.
For the first time in Spain, this new version of the format offers the best vocal talents over the age of 60 the chance to take the stage and conquer it.
Pablo López, Paulina Rubio, Antonio Orozco and Luis Fonsi will coach the talents.

After captivating viewers with “The Voice,” Antena 3 premieres “The Voice Senior” for the first time in Spain. The most successful talent show, produced by Boomerang TV in collaboration with Atresmedia Televisión, arrives Wednesday, May 8th, with a new version in which people over 60 will have a chance to get up on stage and make it big in the world of music.
The first edition of “The Voice” on Antena 3 was a huge ratings success. After becoming the best premiere in the last three years, the show closed with an 18.7% audience share, making it the most-watched edition of “The Voice” in the past three years.
Now it’s time for the seniors. David Bisbal joins fellow coaches Pablo López, Antonio Orozco, and Paulina Rubio, who sit in their swivel chairs and continue to help the talents participating in the contest.
Shorter Gala Performances
Following the same successful strategy as “The Voice,” “The Voice Senior” will feature shorter gala events so that viewers can enjoy the entire music show during prime time. It’s the best possible plan for viewers, and the best possible showcase for advertisers.
The show will feature eight gala performances, four Blind Autions, two Battles, a semi-final and a grand finale to choose the winner of “The Voice Senior” in Spain. In this unique event, older adults will once again have an opportunity to shine onstage.

“The Voice Senior” arrives in Spain after conquering numerous territories where it has become a veritable revelation. This version of “The Voice” has already premiered in countries such as Holland, Belgium, Germany, Russia, and Thailand. And plans are already in the workds for a first edition in the UK, Mexico, and Lithuania.
The show was a major event in Holland, where it managed to draw an audience share of over 30% on RTL4. This was the first country where the show aired, and the first place where it proved its efficacy. On the VTM network in Belgium, the show premiered with a 30.6% share and finished with a 40.8% average. The format has become a major event among young audiences, sweeping the ratings in this demographic.
A Hit in the Digital Environment
“The Voice” didn’t just illuminate the small screen; the first edition on Antena 3 also became a major hit in the digital environment. After finishing the edition, the show had already accumulated over 140 million plays of videos on YouTube and on ATRESplayer.
