Preparations are underway to begin recording the Blind Auditions for the next edition of “The Voice.”

Alejandro Sanz and Laura Pausini join the “The Voice” family to work alongside Antonio Orozco and Pablo López, who were already part of the team this year.

Eva González is at the helm of the format and will be accompanied once again by Juanra Bonet, who will cover the backstage.

Produced by Atresmedia Televisión in collaboration with Boomerang TV, “The Voice” is one of the biggest music formats in the world.

“The Voice” became the talent show of the season last year, after closing with an average 2.76 million viewers.

 The Voice” will be back soon on Antena 3. The talent show, which is produced by Atresmedia TV in collaboration with Boomerang TV, continues its quest to find the best voices in the country.  During this new season, a new batch of contestants will get up on stage to try their luck before the coaches and prove they’ve got potential.

In its second contest en Antena 3, “The Voice” will feature Pablo López, Antonio Orozco, Alejandro Sanz, and Laura Pausini as the coaches.   These four nationally and internationally renowned artists will join the show's team on Antena 3 to try to find the best voices.

Antena 3 is currently airing its first edition of “The Voice Kids."  Every Tuesday, the show is airing its second stage of the show, the Battles, where the young candidates compete to see who will get to move on to the final stage of the talent show.

Alejandro Sanz

With over 25 million records sold throughout his career, Alejandro Sanz is the Spanish artist with the most Grammy Awards (20 Latin Grammy Awards and 3 Grammies), among other prestigious distinctions. In 2017, the Latin Recording Academy honored him as Person of the Year in 2017 in recognition of his career and his significant philanthropical contributions. A few weeks ago, Sanz became the most nominated artist at the 20th edition of the Latin Grammy Awards, with eight nominations, including for the three main categories: Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Recording of the Year. For these last two categories, he was nominated for two songs at once: “No Tengo Nada” and “Mi Persona Favorita.”

Sanz has 17 published albums, and they have all won several Platinum certifications in Spain, Latin America, and the US. In April, the artist launched #ElDisco, which debuted as #1 straight away in 14 countries in all, and is already a Double Platinum Record in Spain and a Gold Record in Chile and Argentina. Moreover, his single "Mi Persona Favorita" was certified by the RIAA in the US and Puerto Rico.

Following the success enjoyed in Spain with his #LaGira Tour, with five sold-out concerts, and his tour of the US, with a total of 16 spectacular shows where he hung up the "sold out" sign in New York City. It also sold out for both dates in Miami, Orlando, and San Diego, among others, Alejandro Sanz has just launched his #LaGira Tour in Mexico with 14 confirmed dates. He has also announced upcoming dates for #LaGira 2020, which will take place over February and March in seven countries (Peru, Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, and Colombia).

Throughout his career, Alejandro Sanz has collaborated with some of the most renowned national and international artists. And, among other prestigious distinctions, he has received a Gold Medal of Merit in Fine Arts from the Spanish Ministry of Culture, a Vision Award from the White House through the Hispanic Heritage Foundation, and the ASCAP Award for his invaluable contributions to Latin music. In 2013, the prestigious Berklee University (in Boston, U.S.) named Sanz Doctor Honoris Causa in recognition of his contributions to international culture and music.

As a social activist, Alejandro Sanz has also been recognized for his strong commitment to non-governmental organizations such as Save the Children, Greenpeace, and Doctors Without Borders. As a pioneer in the use of social media, Sanz has over nine million followers on Twitter, six million on Facebook, and 4.7 million on Instagram, building bridges between Spain and the Americas thanks to his global reach.

Laura Pausini

With over 70 million copies of her albums sold in Europe, Asia, Latin America and North America, more than 180 Platinum Records for selling over 100,000 copies, multiple Gold Records and a Diamond Record for being the first foreign singer to manage to sell over 1,000,000 copies in our country, Italian artist Laura Pausini is considered the most successful Italian singer-songwriter and one of the best-selling Latin artists in the world. Her vocal range and impressive voice, which corresponds to a light lyric soprano, have positioned Laura Pausini as the leading exponent of Latin and Italian pop worldwide, earning her a place in the "Pantheon Project" as one of the most influential singers in history.

Throughout her 25-year career, Laura Pausini has been recognized with over 80 awards, including a Grammy Award, four Latin Grammies, seven World Music Awards, two Billboard Latin Music Awards, four Lo Nuestro Awards, 13 Italian Music Awards, and the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, Italy's fourth-most prestigious order.

In addition to these distinctions, the artist, in 2006, the artist became the first Italian singer to be recognized with a Grammy Award for “Best Latin Pop Album.” In 2016, she became the first woman to tour Italy’s most important stadiums. And, in 2018, the year she received her fourth Latin Grammy, she became the first woman to perform live at the Circus Maximus in Rome.

Laura has also been recognized for her solidarity and philanthropic activities. From the start of her career, she has always been connected with various social causes. This spirit of solidarity has led her to participate in various humanitarian campaigns, and her impact has been so visible that Kofi Annan even sent her a thank-you letter for her contribution to these charitable causes.  In 2018, Laura became a Good Will Ambassador for the World Food Programme.

With a voice that is unique in all the world, Laura Pausini has managed to cross borders and consolidate her career full of successes and constant accolades.

Pablo López

In just four years, Pablo López has managed to establish himself as Spain's most celebrated new artist, becoming one of the country’s most relevant performers. This native of Malaga is known for his simplicity, honesty, and approachability, he is known for his capacity to convey emotion in his songs and for his gift as a singer and composer.

His first album, “Once Historias Y Un Piano,” released in 2013, already won him a Gold Record, as well as several awards for Best New Artist and a mention at the Latin Grammy Awards. His second work, “El Mundo Y Los Amantes Inocentes” (2015), included such hits as “Tu Enemigo” and “El Mundo.” It also became a double Platinum Record and was nominated for two Latin Grammy. 

His latest album, “Camino, Fuego Y Libertad” (2017), has already gone platinum, making him even more famous, especially the song "El patio," which was number one in Spain both on the radio and on digital platforms and became a digital gold disc. In 2019, he has managed to win the hearts of audiences with this work on various stages during his "Santa Libertad Tour," with his piano and voice touching the hearts of over 271,429 people throughout its 85 concerts.

Pablo repeated this success with his 360º “Un Piano Y Una Voz” Tour, for which part of the proceeds were donated to the Asindown Foundation, and which drew 31,505 viewers with just five available dates. In this live concert concept, the audience surrounded a piano and voice, so there were no dead angles, and the artist transposed the acoustic concept to a major production, where no two concerts were the same. In Pablo López's own words, he "moved his house to the stage" so he could share his favorite things with his audience, act as a host, and share his music with the people he loves.

The artist from Malaga has performed on tour in both Spain and Latin America and has also worked in England and the United States. Including at such prestigious places as The Abbey Road Studios, USA East West Studios (LA), MG Studios, and Wicked Sound (Barcelona).

Antonio Orozco

Antonio Orozco is one of the most brilliant and most talented artists in our country’s music scene.  He is currently enjoying a high point in his career.  His hard work and artistic sensitivity have made him one of the most promising and most internationally prominent artists of the next few decades.

With over 1,500,000 records sold, nine Platinum Records, and numerous Gold Records, Antonio Orozco is one of the most beloved and most prominent award-winning artists in the Spanish music scene. Winner of the 2003 Ondas Award for Best Live Artist, Antonio was nominated for a Latin Grammy along with some of the best songwriters in the world for his song “Estoy Hecho Pedacitos Por Ti.”

From the start, Antonio’s career has been marked by unstoppable success and recognition, and he has performed in over 2,500 concerts in Spain and Latin America. He has been number one in Spain, Venezuela, Colombia, Puerto Rico, and Ecuador, and in the Top 10 in Argentina, the US, and Mexico, among others.

In his musical career to date, he has released nine albums: “Un Reloj Y Una Vela” (2000), “Semilla Del Silencio” (2001), “El Principio Del Comienzo” (2004), “Edición Tour 05” (2005), “Cadizfornia” (2006), “Renovatio” (2009), “Diez” (2011), and “Dos Orillas” (2013) – “Dos Orillas Deluxe” (remix with a DVD recorded live at the Cap Roig Festival) (2014), and his latest  album “Destino” (2015).  Furthermore, his most recent show, "Único" (second season), amassed over 135,000 spectators and won a "Golden Ticket" for selling out every one of his 111 concerts over nine months.

Eva González: Master of Ceremonies

Once again this season, Eva González will once be at the helm of the various version of "The  Voice."On this occasion, she will be back to host to the children's version. This season, the host has proven to be one of the most famous faces in entertainment in this country.

Once again, Eva González will be in charge of accompanying the contestants’ families on the show during the first stage of the program. The families are more nervous than anyone when they see their children get up on stage, and the host will be in charge of accompanying them during these very delicate moments.

This season, Eva González will return to Atresmedia, the Group gave her her first opportunity with “UHF,” on Antena 3. Now, fourteen years later, she's back on the network, this time as one of the most beloved TV hosts in our country, after introducing major prime time formats on every national channel and enjoying massive success for nine years on Canal Sur with another music talent show. Over the years, Eva has worked as an actress and host on formats such as “Fenómenos,” “El Club De Flo,” and “La Tira,” in addition to participating in fifteen editions of “Masterchef.”  Now, with “The Voice,” she has managed to consolidate her career as a host.


The Talent Show of the Season


“The Voice” became the most successful talent show of the season. After managing to become the most-watched premiere of the last three years with nearly 4 million viewers, the audience has made “The Voice” the most-watched show in its time slot. With the 23 gala events aired thus far, the talent show has drawn an 18.7% share of the audience and an average 2,719,000 viewers, making it the most-watched edition of “The Voice” in the last three years.


As far as demographic targets, the show led among all viewers under age 64. It also did outstandingly well among young viewers–the preferred demographic for advertisers–with an average 23% share, or +3.5 points more than its closest competitor.


It also registered a whopping 22.1% share among viewers between 25 and 34, +1.9 points more than its closest competitor. Its leadership extended to all other targets, with a 20.3% share among viewers 35 to 44 and a 20.7% share among viewers 45 to 54.


“The Voice” has consolidated its leadership, especially among its target audience. The show managed to draw an average 21.3% share, outperforming the closest competitor in its time slot by +4 points.
