ELENA RIVERA STARS IN “ALBA,” THE NEW BOOMERANG TV SERIES FOR ANTENA 3

The new Antena 3 prime-time series––inspired by the hit “Fatmagül”––consists of 13 episodes, each lasting 50 minutes. The series will also be available on ATRESplayer PREMIUM 

The starting point for “Alba” is the story of a young woman who is the victim of gang rape and has to fight her assailants’ rich and powerful family to seek justice 

“Alba” is a Boomerang TV production for ATRESMEDIA TV. The series is currently in the casting stage. Shooting is slated to start soon under strict health safety measures. The shoot will take place on location in Madrid and Costa Blanca 

The executive producers for this new SERIESATRESMEDIA series are Montse García, Luis Santamaría, and Pablo Guerrero. Madrid and Alicante will host the shoot for this series 

Boomerang TV and ATRESMEDIA TV have already started pre-production of their next original series, “Alba.” Actress Elena Rivera will play the lead character on the new Antena 3 prime-time series. Inspired by the world-renown success “Fatmagül,” “Alba” will also be available on ATRESplayer PREMIUM.  

“Alba” will consist of 13 episodes, each lasting 50 minutes. It is a Boomerang TV production for ATRESMEDIA TV. This fruitful partnership has been obtaining great results for years with acclaimed hit series such as “The Time in Between,” “Plastic Sea,” “Old Bridge Secret,” and "Presumed Guilty.” 

“Alba” is currently in the casting stage. Shooting will start over the summer in natural outdoor and indoor settings in Madrid. The team will then travel to Costa Blanca to film at spectacular outdoor locations on the Mediterranean coast.  The shoot will start soon and will be carried out under strict health safety measures. 

The executive producers for this new SERIESATRESMEDIA series are Montse García, Luis Santamaría, and Pablo Guerrero. “Alba” will be directed by Pablo Guerrero and Carlota Martínez-Pereda. The screenwriting team is made up of Irma Correa, Susana López, Javier Holgado, and Carlos Vila, with Ignasi Rubio and Carlos Martin as script coordinators. Antonio González will be in charge of directing photograpy. The Art Director will be Koldo Vallés. Montse Sancho is Head of Wardrobe, and Andrelo Prado is in charge of the music. 

Introducing “Alba” 

Alba is a fearless young woman. But when she goes back to her hometown on vacation, what begins as a promising night of partying ends in tragedy when a bunch of young men sexually assault her. The following day, she wakes up naked on the beach. A year earlier, when she left her predictable life behind, she could not have imagined that, there in the big city, she would run into Bruno, her life-long neighbor whom she’d never paid much attention to. 

In the city of four million inhabitants, what had been unimaginable when they lived across the street from each other becomes possible. After a casual encounter that is as improbable as it is magical, Alba and Bruno fell madly in love. Nothing could tear them apart. Until that fateful night. 

Inexplicably, three of the four assailants turn out to be Bruno’s best friends. But when Alba discovers who the fourth man was, it turns out the end of the nightmare was really just the beginning. 

Elena Rivera is Alba 

Elena Rivera is the protagonist of “Alba.” The series tells the story of this young woman whose life is shattered when she becomes the victim of gang rape. Alba (Elena Rivera) sees her dreams vanish and the love of her life become an impossible love. 

It’s the story of a woman who is determined see that justice is served and make her assailants pay for the damage and suffering they’ve inflicted on her. But this won’t be easy because Alba has everything against her: public opinion, her milieu, the trial… Alba has to fight tooth and nail against her assailants’ rich and powerful family, who will not hesitate to deceive, lie, blackmail, and even murder to make sure their little “angels” get away with this crime… If someone has to pay, it may as well be the victim.
