Carmelo and Adela Exchange Vows on "Old Bridge Secret"

The characters played by Raúl Peña and Ruth Llopis are happily married in the village church surrounded by all their neighbors and friends on the hit Antena 3 daily drama.

"Old Bridge Secret" continues its successful run as it nears its 1,700th episode in the afternoons on Antena 3. The series continues to win over fans, incorporating new characters and new story lines that keep audiences hooked.

On Monday, October 16th, fans of the series will enjoy one of the season’s most awaited moments: the wedding between Adela (Ruth Llopis) and Carmelo (Raúl Peña).  

As it reaches its 1,700th episode, and after more than six years on the air, the series produced by Boomerang TV for Antena 3 continues to enjoy huge ratings success.

So far this year, “Old Bridge Secret” has averaged 1,490,000 viewers per episode (a 15.1% share of the audience), making it the most watched daily on Spanish television.  The drama has grown ratings to 17.2% among female audiences.

During this period, “Old Bridge Secret” has drawn shares of over 15 points in Valencia (21.0%), Castilla y León (18.2%), Castilla –La Mancha (17.5%), Aragón (17.10%), Murcia (15.6%), Andalusia (15.1%), and the Rest (15.7%).

Summary of Episode 1,681

Much to the chagrin of Francisca Montenegro (María Bouzas), who tried to manipulate Adela’s son, Ulpanio (Javier Villalba) in order to boycott the wedding, the long-awaited day of the marriage has arrived. Ulpiano changes his mind when his mother herself tells him the truth, and Carmelo and Adela become husband and wife in a beautiful ceremony in which the entire village showers them with affection.

And although Candela (Aída de la Cruz) and Severo (Chico García) are reluctant to attend the wedding and leave little Carmelito home with Venancia (Imma Sancho), in the end they decide to accompany the couple on their very special day. But they troubling news they receive upon their return leaves them devastated.
