Amazon Prime Video Spain Previews the RTVE, Boomerang TV, and Chilevision Co-Production, “Inés of My Soul”
The ambitions Spanish-Chilean -RTVE, Boomerang TV, and Chilevisión- co-production, “Inés of My Soul,” will be available on Amazon Prime Video Spain starting Friday, July 31.
The drama stars Elena Rivera, Eduardo Noriega, and Chilean actor Benjamín Vicuña. The rest of the cast includes Carlos Bardem, Francesc Orella, Federico Aguado, Enrique Arce, and Ismael Martinez, among others.
Moreover, “Inés of My Soul” will premiere soon on TVE’s La 1 and on Chilevisión. The series is an adaptation of the homonymous novel by Isabel Allende, translated into more than 30 languages. In 8 fascinating episodes, the series tells the story of Inés Suárez, a brave young woman from Extremadura who sets sail for the New World in search of her husband, lost on the other side of the Atlantic. Inés dreams of living a life of adventure, something unheard of for a woman in her day and age.
In the Indies, Inés will discover the true love of her life, the famous Spanish conquistador Pedro de Valdivia. Together, the two live out an unforgettable romance as they embark upon an adventure that turns them into the key players in the birth of a nation. Her adventures alongside her beloved Pedro de Valdivia lead Inés to explore the most remote and unknown areas of Chile, where she will have to confront the brave Mapuche natives. Inés’ life-changing journey takes us back in time and space from somber 16th-century Plasencia, to the colorful Peru of Pizarro’s Viceroyalty, through the wild jungles of Panama and the desolate beauty of the Atacama Desert, in Chile.
Shot in natural settings in Chile, Peru and Spain, the ambitious project is co-directed by award-winning director Alejandro Bazzano and famous Chilean director Nicolas Acuña. The script was written by Paco Mateo and Jorge Redondo is Executive Producer.
The production has support from the CNTV's audiovisual development program in Chile and the CORFO -IFI- (program for high-impact audiovisual investments).
